Language is more than communication—it is also identity, history, and community. Sign Journey empowers students to lead inclusive conversations, build sustainable accessibility chapters, and create tangible impact through education and community engagement.
Sign Journey was founded by a San Diego teenager who is deaf to bridge deaf and hearing communities through American Sign Language (ASL) education, accessibility advocacy, and neuroscience-based awareness.
Students begin their Sign Journey through structured ASL lessons, curated resources, and original educational content. They also explore deaf culture, history, advocacy, accessibility, and allyship.
One of the missions of Sign Journey is to provide STEAM education in an accessible manner. Teachers can explore the content in Sign Journey’s Let’s Sign STEAM series. The organization is working on developing accessible STEAM toolkits.
Sign Journey is also expanding to provide structured workshops, presentations, and collaborative opportunities for schools and student organizations.
