BBC Learning Hub is a free global education platform offering more than 1,000 videoclips, lesson plans, and student activities for preK–12 teachers, students, and families. The platform, launching first in the US with plans for international expansion, is designed to enhance instruction in classrooms and support at-home learning.
Drawing on the BBC’s legacy of world-class journalism and storytelling, the Learning Hub features ready-to-use multimedia resources covering a wide range of subjects, including content from BBC Studio’s award-winning Science and Natural History Units.
Here’s what educators will find on the BBC Learning Hub:
Extensive Videoclip Library: Curated collection of high-quality clips from BBC programs to captivate students and enhance lessons across subjects.
Rich Lesson Plans and Teaching Ideas: Ready-to-use resources to support educators in sparking curiosity and deepening learning in any subject.
Science and History Articles: Engaging, age-appropriate content available at three reading levels, ensuring every student can dive in and explore.
And Real-World Learning: Resources created by BBC and its partners—for example, “Media Literacy in a Digital World” (10 video lessons to help students in grades 6–8 gain the media literacy skills they need to become informed citizens) and “My World: Global Issues” (videos that explore major global issues so students in grades 6–12 will be better equipped to think critically, engage in meaningful discussions, and propose solutions).
