Outdoor learning provides positive, healthy, and effective learning opportunities, improving the physical, emotional, and mental health of educators and learners alike. Outdoor learning also addresses key social and environmental issues, such as the climate crisis, the rapid loss of biodiversity, nature-deficit disorder, and the obesity epidemic.
The nonprofit Outdoor Learning School offers free outdoor learning seasonal workshops in partnership with Take Me Outside and other organizations. The workshops are 60 minutes and take place on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. (ET) / 4 p.m. (PT). For those who can’t attend live, the workshops will each be recorded, and all registrants will receive the link to the recording via email the day following the workshop. They will also receive a link to access a Certificate of Attendance.
Registration is open for the following upcoming monthly virtual workshops. All virtual workshops are free, and attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes in a drawing.

Learning School’s 4 Seasons of Indigenous Learning course supports participants in deepening their understanding of Indigenous knowledge and perspectives while strengthening connections with the local land and supporting more respectful, reciprocal relationships. Each “Season” is a year-long course of self-paced learning—an average of one hour per month.
This Indigenous-led course is offered to anyone for free. “Early bird” registration is open for the 2026–27 year of learning starting this Fall. Educators who complete all four “Seasons” (years) of learning, will receive $100 toward accessing Indigenous Learning Resources, in addition to the $25 they will receive each year.
