As part of the Intel Digital Readiness Program, AI for Youth empowers young people with AI tech and social skills in an inclusive way. The program covers a combination of skillsets, toolsets, and mindsets, preparing students to apply them to real-world problems.
The program’s goals are to demystify AI and equip youth aged 13–19 with the skillsets and mindsets required for AI readiness; to democratize access to AI tools with Intel technologies and train youth to use them skillfully; and to create meaningful social impact solutions with AI, as evidence of achievement.
The program doesn’t require prior knowledge or technical expertise. It can easily be adapted to students’ existing knowledge and time availability, and it has multiple entry and exit points to match curriculum needs.
Students gain technical skills (programming and coding, data science, computer vision, natural language processing, statistical data, and algorithmic and computational thinking), as well as social skills (AI ethics and bias reduction, critical thinking, problem-solving, system mapping, AI solutions-building, and social–emotional learning skills).
