Sponsored by the National Center for Women and Information Technology, the Aspirations in Computing Educator Award celebrates high school educators who encourage girls’ interest and participation in technology pursuits. Recipients form a national community of peers, who share practices and empower other educators to encourage the participation of girls in computing. All teachers, counselors, administrators, mentors, and other educators who encourage girls’ interest and participation in computing and technology pursuits are eligible to apply. Interested applicants must first endorse a high school girl for the Award for Aspirations in Computing. Applicants may then complete an application. Regional winners receive recognition at an Aspirations Award event and an engraved award for both the educator and his or her school. Winning educators are also eligible to apply for up to $750 in professional development funds. The national winner will receive a $2,500 cash award.
Deadlines: Required endorsements due by November 12, 2021; applications due by December 6, 2021
