Read for a Better World is a new kind of inclusive literacy collection, designed to help students think, create, share, and grow along the themes of identity, diversity, justice, and action. Through authentic and culturally relevant texts and responsive writing activities, Read for a Better World uses a research-based approach to literacy. With take-home book packs and digital library options, Read for a Better World can adapt to a variety of educators’ needs, whether teachers are planning lessons for either in-classroom or remote and hybrid learning. Classroom libraries curated by education experts provide texts for struggling, on-level, and striving readers, while teacher resources provide theory and lesson plans designed to support the topics of inclusivity and diversity. Institutions using Read for a Better World in the classroom can add on multiuser access to allow students remote access to a curated digital library.
