The world’s most famous citadel, the Acropolis of Athens, was built in Ancient Greece in the fifth century BCE. With the free Acropolis Interactive 3D app, students can explore this great work of architecture along with events of the past. The app’s interactive scenes can be rotated, enlarged, or viewed from preset angles. The predefined views let students easily navigate through the complex scenes. Some of the 3D scenes contain a “Walk” mode, enabling students to explore the scene themselves. Most of the 3D scenes include narrations and built-in animations. They also contain captions, entertaining animated quizzes, and other visual elements. The 3D scenes are available in several languages, offering students the opportunity to learn and practice a world language they may be studying. The app is offered free of charge by MOZAIK Ltd for iOS and Android devices.
