Arts Project Amplifying the Voices of Young Creative Changemakers

Young people face an increasingly complex world with global conflicts, social injustices, and mental health challenges shaping their realities. Teaching students about peace helps them develop problem-solving and social–emotional skills and promotes compassion, critical thinking, and collaboration—essential tools for navigating and solving the complex challenges they face and becoming impactful and engaged global citizens.

Students Rebuild inspires young people to engage with the world’s most pressing issues and channel their creativity through various artistic mediums to create meaningful change. Through creative action, young people can explore their understanding of peace, identify its barriers, and share their vision for a more compassionate, peaceful, and inclusive society.

Now part of Creative Visions, Students Rebuild invites youth around the globe on a journey to build a more peaceful world through the Spark Peace Project.

Creative Visions has partnered with Discovery Education to design a set of ready-to-use resources for the Spark Peace Project. The resources include a video, related guide, and digital lesson bundle, complete with instructions and a PowerPoint presentation to guide teaching. Teachers can use the ready-made lesson plan and creative resources to support students as they learn and explore what peace and compassion mean to them, their communities, and worldwide. The resources are designed for middle school students but can be adapted for older youth.

Once they have assessed their interests, students can choose a creative medium to express their ideas about peace. Each work of creative expression—or each student engaged—triggers a $5 donation for an organization doing peace-building work around the world.

The deadline to submit creative work to the Spark Peace Project is June 9, 2025.
